Á morgun verður Inception frumsýnd í Bandaríkjunum (og á sama degi forsýnd hjá okkur.) og það þýðir að gagnrýnendur vestanhafs séu byrjaðir að láta heyra meira í sér. Þegar þessi texti er ritaður er myndin skráð með 89% á RottenTomatoes.com. En þó svo að fáeinir gagnrýnendur séu ekki alveg að sjá snilldina sem meirihlutinn sér þá eru flestir sammála því hvað myndin er frumleg og vel gerð.
